After living on Sydney's lower north shore for several decades and never visiting the zoo, I decided to change that after adding a new lens to my camera collection. I headed out to Taronga Zoo, and this gallery is the result.

As for the above shot, this was one of the first taken with my new lens; it was taken from about 70m away, through a thick net, and just as the tiger woke up and looked right at me. A real case of the right place at the right time.
