Heading down the path to the Supertree Grove, I walked past these two striking Chinese Guardian Lion statues, which are much larger versions of the ones I picked up in bronze, many years back in China.

Heading past the Guardian Lion statues and down the steps to the actual supertree grove, I headed for the OCBC Skyway, which is a walkway that runs through several of the supertrees.

Thankfully, there is a lift for access to the walkway, as the thought of that many stairs in this heat was not something to look forward to.

Maybe it was the combination of the heat and haze, but when I made it to the walkway, there were only a few people there, rather than the crowds I was expecting.

For the next trip, I wonder if I can get access after dark?

Garden Rhapsody Light & Sound Show by Night in Singapore top

After spending about an hour on the walkway, just taking in the view, it was time to head out again. I had decided to head back via the Sands Hotel.

Next comes the return to the gardens after dark, for the Garden Rhapsody (light and sound) show, which, after some research, starts at 7:45pm, repeating at 8:45pm.

Both in this visit and the previous ones, I have done a fair amount of walking after dark, so this is not a new experience for me. So I headed out from the hotel in good time, arriving a short time before the show started. And for those who do not know, the heat does not drop by much after dark; no problem for me, just something to be aware of.

The above photos were taken just before the show started; think of it as the calm before the storm. When the show started, I even forgot to try to record the whole thing on video, and got drawn into the show along with the rest of the crowd.

During this visit, I did not have a dedicated video camera, just my DSLR, which, as I said, I totally forgot to hit record when the show started. Hmm, not good, but since this visit, I now have a 360-degree camera, which I will use to record the whole show in stunning 4K. Expect updates.

WOW is about the best way to describe the sound and light show; it's something that any visitor needs to see/hear at least once.
